THE ART OF HULA
Taramati has spent most of her years traveling throughout the United States and to Egypt, Morocco, Turkey and Hong Kong as a Polynesian Dancer and Choreographer. She has represented several businesses in Hawai'i and mainly for the Hawai'i Visitors Bureau to promote Hawai’i and tourism.
When she is not traveling, Waikiki was her showroom. For many years she danced at the Moana Surfrider Hotel, Hilton Hawaiian Village, Sheraton Princess Kaiulani Hotel, and at the Halekulani Hotel where she has graced the stage as a Hula artist. She also
worked her Hula magic on various luxury cruise ships.
Taramati is currently offering private Hula lessons for individuals or a scheduled 6-week group session. Scheduled classes are being offered in the Whangarei (New Zealand) area. If you are interested, please contact us via the contact page for more information. She also has spent many years teaching Pacific Island dances to students at Totara Grove School in Tikipunga (NZ).
Goals for participating students: At the end of the six sessions, the ladies will have a better understanding of the Art of Hula and be able to perform. They will learn the basic Hawaiian Hula steps then incorporating that into a hula or two depending on the skill level or dance experience of those in the class. It will be a fun class and Hula dancing is certainly good for the heart, body and soul. Class is open to ladies starting from age 15. So come join us and Hula for Health!
Cost is $70 for 6-week session.
NEXT CLASS WILL BE IN
